  2. One-year position. Audition material: solo of his/her choice (no excerpts). Musician will have to re-audition for 2010-2011 season to be guaranteed a permanent position. Musician commits to all concerts for 2009-2010 season. If a musician does not re-audition before 2010-2011 season, s/he will then be in Category 3, below.
  3. Non-committed sub positions. Hired at discretion of personnel manager in consultation with principals on a concert by concert basis. A musician not known to members of the orchestra and not having a sufficient resume of orchestral playing may be asked to play a solo of his/her choice in order to be accepted as a sub. Would not be guaranteed services and would make no commitments to play. Commitment for each concert series will be made by both parties at least 30 days prior to first rehearsal for that series.

The Rogue Valley Symphony presents five regular series concerts per season in Ashland, Medford and Grants Pass, Oregon. The 2009-10 “Year of the Search” season will be conducted by 5 finalists for the position of Music Director with the Rogue Valley Symphony.
