Our Venues

The Rogue Valley Symphony presents at four distinct performance venues in the Rogue Valley. The SOU Music Recital Hall and Angus Bowmer Theatre in Ashland, the Craterian Theater in Medford, and the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center in Grants Pass. 

Each hall is unique and special to our organization and we are thrilled to make world-class music available in every corner of our community.

Ashland - SOU Music Recital Hall

Address: 450 S Mountain Ave, Ashland, OR 97520

  • Our most intimate venue (seats 444)
  • Box Office & Will Call stationed in the center of the lobby, across from the large windows
  • Concessions pre-show and at intermission as available
  • Restrooms on both floors
  • 4 Wheelchair Spaces & 4 Companion Seats
  • Free Parking for RVS Patrons at the lot across Mountain Ave from the Recital Hall
  • The elevator down the hall north of the lobby gives easy access to the back of the hall (rows P-T)

Directions:
From I -5 north:
Take exit 19, and go west on Valley View Rd.
Turn left at the light onto Hwy 99, heading to downtown Ashland.
Hwy 99 will become North Main. Continue on Main Street through downtown Ashland.
Main St will become Siskiyou Blvd at the end of downtown. Continue south on Siskiyou Blvd.
Turn right on Mountain Ave (approximately 1 ½ miles from downtown Ashland).
The SOU Music Building is the third building on the left.

From I-5 South:
Take exit 11 and merge onto Hwy 99. Continue on 99 until it meets Siskiyou Blvd.
Bear right onto Siskiyou Blvd.
Continue on Siskiyou Blvd for 3 and a half miles and turn left on Mountain Ave
The SOU Music building is the third building on the left.

Parking:
There is a large parking lot across the street on Mountain, as well as parking on the street around the University. PARKING IS FREE both on the street and in the lot for Symphony concerts.

There are also bike racks available outside the music recital hall.

Public Transit
Connect to the RVTD #10 Bus, which has a stop at Southern Oregon University. From within Ashland or Medford, the ride costs $2 and takes between 20min (Ashland) and 45min (Medford). Once you get as far as Eagle Point (north) the ride cost can be $4+ and takes up to 1hr 40min. If you’re arriving from the south, you may have to take a Greyhound bus as the route crosses the state line into California.

Medford - The Craterian Theater at the Collier Center for the Performing Arts

Address: 23 S Central Ave, Medford, OR 97501

  • Concessions pre-show and at intermission
  • Box Office is located south of the main entrance on Central Ave
  • Will Call is located just inside the right doors of the main entrance on Central Ave
  • Women’s restrooms on both floors, and men’s restroom on the second floor
  • Seats 736, with 8 Wheelchair Spaces & 11 Companion Seats
  • Free street & lot parking for Saturday matinee concerts
  • The elevator behind the Box Office gives easy access to the balcony & the front of the main floor (rows A-G)

Directions
From the South:
Depart I-5 on Exit 27
Turn LEFT (West) onto (E) Barnett Road for 0.6 miles
Turn RIGHT (North) onto South Riverside Avenue for 0.9 miles
Turn LEFT (West) onto East Main Street for 0.1 miles
Turn LEFT (South) onto South Central Avenue
Theater is on LEFT

From the North:
Depart I-5 Southbound Exit 30
Turn RIGHT (South West) onto Crater Lake Highway for 0.4 miles
Follow signs to City Center
Road turns to the left and becomes Court Street for 0.6 miles
Court Street becomes North Central Avenue; stay on Central for 0.8 miles
Theater is on LEFT after you cross Main Street.

Parking:
Along with plentiful street parking (Free on Weekends, Limited on Weekdays), we recommend the lot across Central Ave from RCC (Free on Weekends, Paid on Weekdays), or the Evergreen Garage at 34 W 8th St (Paid).

Public Transit:
From the south, the RVTD #10 Bus has a stop at Front Street Station in Medford, which is about a 1/4mi walk from the Craterian Theater. From within Ashland or Medford areas, the ride costs $2 and takes up to 45min.

From the northeast, connect to the RVTD #60 bus. For some starting points, the #63 bus picks up in Eagle Point at Royal & Main, and #60 picks up in White City bus at Cascade Shopping Center. This ride stops at the Front Street Station in Medford, which is about a 1/4mi walk from the Craterian Theater. The ride costs $2 and takes between 40min (White City) and 50min (Eagle Point).

From the northwest, connect to the Rogue Valley Commute Line #100 to the Rogue Valley Commute Line stop in Medford and walk 1/4mi to the Craterian Theater. This line picks up in Grants Pass at Anne Basker Auditorium 500 NW 6th St, but you have to contact the agency at (541) 474-5452. The ride costs $2 and takes about 1hr 30min.

For Rogue Valley Manor residents, there is a shuttle available to our concerts – all you have to do is request its use at the concierge desk.

Grants Pass - Grants Pass Performing Arts Center

Address: 313 NE Olive St, Grants Pass, OR 97526

  • Our most modern venue
  • Noted for exceptional acoustics
  • Restrooms at the south end of the lobby
  • Easy, flat access to the accessibility seats and the front half of the hall
  • Staired access to the back half of the hall
  • Seats 734, with 6 Wheelchair Spaces & 6 Companion Seats
  • Free Parking for RVS Patrons in two school lots near the PAC
  • The elevator south of the Box Office gives easy access to the back of the hall (rows V-BB)

Directions
From the North OR South:
Take I 5 to Exit 55/GRANTS PASS PKWY/REDWOOD HWY/US-199
Turn right at the first light on Agness
Stay on Agness which curves around to become “A” Street.
Grants Pass High School begins at NE A Street and 9th Street
Stay on NE A Street past the football field
Make the next right after the football field (no street sign)
The Theater is the large building at the end of the street.

From the Coast:
Follow US-199 N to Grants Pass
Take the exit for OR-99 N/City Center
Merge onto OR -99 N/SE 7th St
Follow SE 7th St for about 1 mile
Turn right on NE A St, then left on SE 8th St
The Theater is the large building on the right, just after the intersection of 8th and Olive.

Parking
There is a parking lot on that corner and a parking lot behind the theater building. There is also parking on the street surrounding the high school. PARKING IS FREE in both lots for Rogue Valley Symphony concerts.

The front entrance to the theatre is facing the quad area in the middle of the school.

Public Transit:
From the east & south, connect to the Rogue Valley Commute Line #100 at the Rogue Valley Commute Line stop in Medford and take it to the Anne Basker Auditorium stop in Grants Pass, then walk about a 1/2mi to the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center. The ride costs $2 and takes about 20 minutes.

From the north (Merlin as an example), connect to the Josephine Community Transit bus #80 at the Merlin Post Office to the Anne Basker Auditorium stop in Grants Pass, then walk about 1/2mi to Grants Pass Performing Arts Center. The ride costs $2 and takes about 15min.

The easiest parking will either be street parking or to park at the Hargadine Parking Garage.

Directions to the Hargadine Parking Garage:
From I-5 north:
Take exit 19, and go west on Valley View Rd.
Turn left at the light onto Hwy 99, heading to downtown Ashland.
Hwy 99 will become North Main St. Continue on Main Street through downtown Ashland.
Turn right onto Pioneer St.
Turn Left onto Hargadine St.
The Hargadine Parking Garage will be on your left.

From I-5 South:
Take exit 11 in Oregon and merge onto Hwy 99.
Continue on 99 until it meets Siskiyou Blvd.
Bear right onto Siskiyou Blvd.
Continue on Siskiyou Blvd until it turns into Lithia Way.
Turn left onto 3rd St
Turn right onto Hargadine St & follow the road to the right.
The Hargadine Parking Garage will be on your right.

From Route 66 (Klamath Falls):
Take OR 66W Toward Medford
Turn left onto Rd 533 / Dead Indian Memorial Rd
Turn right onto Green Springs Hwy 66
Keep right to continue on E Main St
Turn right onto Lithia Wy
Turn left onto 3rd St
Turn right onto Hargadine St & follow the road to the right.
The Hargadine Parking Garage will be on your right.
