Dear RVS subscribers,

Every challenge is an opportunity. We dream about being with you in the concert hall again – nothing beats that feeling. However, the world still needs beauty – it needs it more than ever. Fortunately, we humans are inherently creative beings. Therefore, we put our heads together and came up with Digital Journeys with the RVS. They are our big and very sincere thanks to you for sticking with us. They are also a reminder that we will be here for you when life returns to normal!

We put together a well-coordinated team of professionals. As it turns out, not only the RVS is filled with talent that begs to be tapped! With their help, we are producing three digital “experiences” for you. The music is at the center of these endeavors but they are more than streamed concerts. The September one gives you an intimate, behind-the-scenes look into the lives of some of your favorite musicians. It also features the beautiful natural scenery of the place that we are fortunate to call home.

Our current Masterworks Concert detours are available below:

Digital Journey No. 4 – A Reflection

Jim Fox’s ethereal musical landscape, The City the Wind Swept Away, takes us gently to a place of timeless beauty. This serene music is best savored when you find a calm moment for introspection. So pour yourself a hot cup of tea, light a candle, and spend twenty minutes with us as we reflect on how the world has changed, and how it has changed us.

Digital Journey No. 3, featuring the RVS string players

Bela Bartók – Romanian Folk Dances
Aaron J. Kernis – Musica celestis
Edvard Grieg – Holberg Suite

Digital Journey No. 2, featuring fanfares at various locations around southern Oregon (coming soon to the Ashland Independent Film Festival)

Aaron Copland – Fanfare for the Common Man
Joan Tower – Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman
Chelsea Majkut – Fanfare for Our Heroes

Digital Journey No. 1 – a variety of solo instruments performing with Maestro Majkut on the piano
